In an area where many photographers, and also agencies, claim to stock religious images, www.worldreligions.co.uk retains its number one slot as the only library with genuine photos of people practising their faith and the rites of passage pertinent to all six mainstream faiths. Plus others. The library has new photos from Africa and the Middle East. Proprietor Christine Osborne requires digital submissions featuring major religious festivals, worldwide.

Sister library www.copix.co.uk has new images of Dubai and the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Roz Batten is an accomplished photographer and digital artist. She has a very individual style and her work is varied and interesting, ranging from insect macros, portraits with a difference, scenes, digital art and so much more.
Her fascination with insects began when she was a small child. That fascination coupled with her love of photography has produced a series of insect images that are unique and distinctive.

At present she is steadily adding to her portfolio at Photographers Direct, but having only been on the site for a very short time it is still quite limited. So, until her own website is up and running you can view a much larger selection of her work at the link below.

If you are interested in any of the images please send her an email.

With wonderful underwater images being seen via the nature program about the South Pacific currently, it is difficult not to dream of exploring far off shores and delving into the oceans depths, exploring the marine life and stunning scenery.
However if you cannot afford to jet off right at this moment, spend a moment looking at the underwater images of skilled photographer Mark Follon, who has access to a well populated aquarium.

Panoramic Artworks Volume 1 Is Here!

Leading UK art photographer Richard Osbourne has just launched his first collection of Panoramic art images - over 160 fabulous images tightly edited into 6 categories: Cityscapes, Forests, Kinetic Abstracts, Landscapes, Seascapes and Water.

All Panoramic Artworks images are exceptionally high resolution - minimum 500MB RGB - and are available in aspect ratios from 2:1 up to a whopping 11:1! Martyn Chillmaid's current main commission, photographing a Cambridge College for a commemorative book, has given him the impetuous to upgrade to the latest Canon 20+ megapixel camera and system of lenses. The results are stunning quality and he is looking forward to using it on similar projects to the University shoot. Some years ago he photographed travel books for Readers Digest/AA. If you are planning a publishing project in a similar area please get in touch with him. His main client base is educational publishers so his fees are distinctly realistic.

Spectrum is pleased to announce they are working on a niche bird site with 17 photographers from around the world, from Bogota to Tasmania, which should be live by the end of the summer. Among them is Tom Thomson, whose northern Canadian images have produced 3 successful books. Tom's said he loves beer, poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking things with a stick. Even if you don't like beer and or poetry, all bird shooters are welcome.

“All generalizations are false, including this one.” Samuel Langhorne Clemens
