Steve Sole is taking photography to new heights with his company, Aerial Photography for You. Using a six foot, helium filled balloon that can fly silently up to heights of 500 feet, or a telescopic mast that can expand to 50ft, the team can unobtrusively take pictures of virtually any event or location even when normal access would be difficult. The mast can also be utilised indoors. Steve, who started specialising in this type of aerial photography three years ago, has photographed many different events including Sir Elton John’s concert in Hove, an apartment block designed by Terence Conran, circus tents at the Brighton Festival. He can provide excellent aerial shots for weddings, estate agents’ brochures, golf courses, property developers. Steve recently acquired an altimeter for the balloon which allows him to photograph the view from a penthouse before it’s even been built.

Gideon Davidson is a photographer living and working in Japan for the past 11 years, who recently took part in the recent Royal Photographic Society Exhibition, held by the Japan Chapter in Tokyo.

He has produced a unique collection of photos of Japan, featuring both the sublime natural beauty of temple gardens and the innovative post-modern fashions to be found here. With a zen-like approach to photography, his intention is to capture images that will communicate across continents, withstanding the tests of time. He is also available for event shooting, having covered weddings and other occasions.

With recent equipment upgrades, his output has greatly accelerated. You can see smaller versions of his work on his Pbase pages.

He looks forward to helping you in your search for inspiring images of Japan.

Dick Mundy has just begun the process of buying a new speculative build property in France, or at least a big extension to an old one. He intends keeping an ongoing photographic diary from now on. Any one interested in this project should contact him direct. At this point in time the walls are up and the roof on so it will mostly be inside work, finishing off and then moving in, and may be some of the planning and legal side of the transaction. Pics will support an eventual article hopefully.

He is also in the midst of converting a number of digital colour images into mono in a tall thin format. Some of these will be uploaded onto the Photographers Direct site shortly.
