Jerry and Marcy Monkman continue working on their 18-month commissioned photography project on the Connecticut River, the largest watershed in New England. Images from this project as well as from earlier book projects, "White Mountain Wilderness" and "Wild Acadia", are now available on Photographers Direct and their own website,

The Monkmans, who founded their Portsmouth-based “EcoPhotography” business in 1994, specialize in images of nature, travel destinations and outdoor recreation and adventure in the Northeastern US, as well as eastern Canada. Besides working for such high-profile clients as L.L. Bean and Princess Cruises, they do frequent shoots for environmentally-friendly non-profits like The Trust for Public Land and The Nature Conservancy as well as publishing books and conducting workshops. The Africa Image Library is the personal library of Ariadne Van Zandbergen. It provides extensive coverage of the wildlife, cultures, architecture and scenery of Africa. The library is run by the photographer, who has an intimate knowledge of Africa - and her stock - and will deal personally with all requests, no matter how extensive or obscure.

Ariadne is photographing in Madagascar in May and welcomes any commissions.

Bruce Liron is currently documenting social issues within society relating to teenagers. Images depict abuse of alcohol, drugs, health issues such as smoking and relationships. Future work will concentrate on domestic violence, isolation, bullying and crime. Bruce works with his local Youth Theatre group who have an array of creative ideas, any specific images required by a client can be arranged.

Bob Willis is a multi-award winning freelance photographer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. His website shows a small selection of images from his stock photo-library of over 80,000 world-wide images covering a wide variety of subjects from 84 countries. Willis' stock library is also home to archival images; such as Macchu Picchu in the 1950s and many U.S. Historic Sites, particularly Washington, D.C. and the Eastern U.S.

In the past 10 years, Willis has focused primarily on the American West with some 20,000 images of U.S. National Parks, rodeos, cowboys, Native America, scenics, and wildlife available in 35mm, medium format, and high-resolutional digital.

Many images are of art quality and suitable for framing as well as for editorial and advertising. All inquiries are answered immediately.

In June 2007, Willis will be in Honolulu, Hawaii; The Black Hills, South Dakota; and Montreal and Quebec, Canada. Willis is a member of The Society of American Travel Writers and International Alliance of Travel Writers.

Ian Middleton is a freelance photographer and writer from the UK, but currently based in Slovenia. With over ten years of travelling around the world he has built up a large library of stock images. As a writer he is also in the position to supply articles alongside his photography. His photos have been published in Bradt Travel Guides, Living Abroad Magazine and Mysterious World: Ireland, to name a few.

While specialising in travel, he also shoots editorial, sports, landscapes, wildlife and people. Michael DeFreitas has recently added hundreds of South Pacific images to his collection. Coverage includes the Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Palau, Tonga, Western Samoa and Yap. Michael specializes in topside and underwater adventure travel images from around the globe. His images appear regularly in many of the world's top travel magazines.

Besides the South Pacific, Michael has also added images from the Antarctic, Arctic, various Caribbean islands, Canada’s Northwest Territories, Chile, Galapagos, Malta, Norway and Utah to his 60,000+ stock library.

U.S. photographer Darlene Bordwell is pleased to report that one of her images, Farm Auction Faces, has been selected as one of the finalists in Interactions, a competition sponsored by the nonprofit Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado. The theme for this exhibit, which runs through May 30, is people interacting.

The juror for Interactions is Alison D. Nordstrom, the Curator of Photographs at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY. The works of 50 photographers from the U.S., Spain, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, and China were selected from among 850 entries.

The Center is located in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins, CO. The full exhibit can be viewed online at

You can see more images from Darlene's series showing an auctioneer at work at Darlene has a large and ever-growing travel and editorial stock collection; her particular interests are land use issues, historic preservation, and portraits and live events of all kinds. Patricia Fenn is a freelance photographer based in Crete. Her website shows just a representative selection of images (currently around 1,500 online and counting) from her stock photolibrary of over 6,000 images covering a wide variety of subjects but with a special emphasis on landscape/travel and nature/wildlife of the Greek islands.

The website has keyword search and category search facilities coupled with large clear thumbnail images and lightbox facility.

Her latest exhibition of local images can be seen at Istron Bay Hotel, Agios Nikolaos, Crete, and runs until the end of October.

Patricia will travel anywhere in Greece for that special image. She is covering 'The Island Games' in June/July which takes place on the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes this year.
