Dick Mundy LRPS will be back in Corsica in May for 10 days and if anyone is interested in any particular views/situations he will be happy to get images on spec. Don't expect any tourism pics, just the places and pics he wishes to avoid - that's why he travels "out of season"(!) but when the weather is good.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Falkland's War in the South Atlantic. The war sparked by the Argentinean invasion of this British colony on 2 April 1982 cost the lives of 655 Argentine and 255 British servicemen as well as 3 Falkland islanders. It was brought to a conclusion on 14 June 1982 with the liberation of Stanley and the surrender of the Argentine forces.

In honour of the dead of both sides, a number of memorials and cemeteries were constructed around the islands. Andrew Gransden can supply high quality photographs of a number of these at San Carlos, Sea Lion Island (HMS Sheffield), Fitzroy and Darwin (Argentine). This includes the gravestone of Lt Col H jones VC, Commanding Officer 2nd Parachute Battlion, killed near Darwin in the battle for Goose Green.

Andrew also has an extensive collection of images from around the Falkland Islands and of the magnificent wildlife.

As New Years Day 2008 ushers in the year of the Beijing Olympics everyone will be scrambling to find unique images of China, because no-one will want to see those Getty and Corbis ones again. But PD clients can select images beforehand, as photojournalist Bruce Holmes will be there in June-July 2007.

Bruce will begin his journey in St Petersburg, before taking the Trans-Mongolian Railway from Moscow across Siberia to Irkutsk and Lake Baikal then via Ulaanbaatar to Beijing. But apart from photographing the imperial grandeur of Beijing and Xian, there’s more. For Bruce will be pulling on his hiking boots to join a small group trek along sections of the original Great Wall in Hebei Province, far removed from the madding crowds of tourists, and camping each evening at typical northern Chinese villages.

Bruce can provide images, a photo essay, or a travel article and image package. For requests or assignments please contact Bruce directly.
