Cary Anderson has unique Christmas or winter material on the "Eagle Lady". Every year around Christmas, 80-year old Jean Keene , best known as the "Eagle Lady", begins feeding an enormous gathering of wild eagles; they have flocked to her for 25 years. What started out as just 2 eagles eventually became 200 to 300 of the magnificent birds. Her daily congregation is hard to believe, but well documented.

Images are available from Cary Anderson's new book. (See website for preview.) Generous text excerpts available with photo feature from this CBS News reporter and Photographer.

For more than 15 years Martyn Chillmaid has been supplying major publishing houses with photographs specifically designed for the UK Science National Curriculum. They have also been published across the world in the USA, Hong Kong, South America, Australia and Europe. He has an archive of hard-to-get pictures of the kind of experiments that are used in classroom but photographed in studio conditions. And, if he doesn't have it, he can usually set it up in a couple of days. Martyn is fully aware of educational requirements for safety but uses equipment that relates to the school classroom not a James Bond laboratory. His prices are as down to earth as the pictures.

Changing of the seasons can be rather depressing as the nights draw in and the flip flops have to be exchanged for boots for the next six months! So it is good to look for the positive aspects of Autumn. Visually pleasing to the eye is the flora and fauna surrounding us, everywhere the trees are changing colour, creepers are shifting from green to red, nature is a wonderful and amazing thing to inspire us all.

The image attached entitled Windermere trees, Lake District by one of APL's photographers Chris Harrison shows a delighful range of colour, enhanced by a sunny day.
