Jerry and Marcy Monkman continue working on their 18-month commissioned photography project on the Connecticut River, the largest watershed in New England. Images from this project as well as from earlier book projects, "White Mountain Wilderness" and "Wild Acadia", are now available on Photographers Direct and their own website, EcoPhotography.com

The Monkmans, who founded their Portsmouth-based “EcoPhotography” business in 1994, specialize in images of nature, travel destinations and outdoor recreation and adventure in the Northeastern US, as well as eastern Canada. The Africa Image Library is the personal library of Ariadne Van Zandbergen. It provides extensive coverage of the wildlife, cultures, architecture and scenery of Africa. The library is run by the photographer, who has an intimate knowledge of Africa - and her stock - and will deal personally with all requests, no matter how extensive or obscure.

Ariadne is photographing in Madagascar in May and welcomes any commissions.

Bruce Liron is currently documenting social issues within society relating to teenagers. Images depict abuse of alcohol, drugs, health issues such as smoking and relationships. Future work will concentrate on domestic violence, isolation, bullying and crime. Bruce works with his local Youth Theatre group who have an array of creative ideas, any specific images required by a client can be arranged.

Bob Willis is a multi-award winning freelance photographer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. His website shows a small selection of images from his stock photo-library of over 80,000 world-wide images covering a wide variety of subjects from 84 countries. Willis' stock library is also home to archival images; such as Macchu Picchu in the 1950s and many U.S. Historic Sites, particularly Washington, D.C. and the Eastern U.S.

In the past 10 years, Willis has focused primarily on the American West with some 20,000 images of U.S. National Parks, rodeos, cowboys, Native America, scenics, and wildlife available in 35mm, medium format, and high-resolution digital.

Many images are of art quality and suitable for framing as well as for editorial and advertising. All inquiries are answered immediately.

Ian Middleton is a freelance photographer and writer from the UK, but currently based in Slovenia. With over ten years of travelling around the world he has built up a large library of stock images. U.S. photographer Darlene Bordwell is pleased to report that one of her images, Farm Auction Faces, has been selected as one of the finalists in Interactions, a competition sponsored by the nonprofit Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado. The theme for this exhibit, which runs through May 30, is people interacting.

The juror for Interactions is Alison D. Nordstrom, the Curator of Photographs at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY. The works of 50 photographers from the U.S., Spain, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, and China were selected from among 850 entries.

The Center is located in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins, CO. The full exhibit can be viewed online at www.c4fap.org/exhibitions/2007Interactions/index.htm

Patricia Fenn is a freelance photographer based in Crete.
