On June 22, 2003 Carol Walker will be heading for Alaska to phtograph the coastal bears of Alaska's Katmai. On the Katmai National Park's coastline, the bears are fattening themselves up for the winter. Few photographers have been fortunate enought to visit the park's remote coastal areas, by shore excursions from a boat, with no viewing platforms. Mothers and cubs will be the focus of the trip, with cubs nursing, wrestling, playing, and some opportunities to see large males fishing.
