| Starting from this month we are delivering the newsletter in html format so that we can include pictures which will help you to see the style and subject matter of some of our photographers. As well as helping researchers track down those hard to find images from all parts of the globe, Photographers Direct, is now proving useful to advertising and marketing creatives looking for something different. The huge range of styles and backgrounds of our photographers can provide a breath of fresh air in a market place where many large agencies have a standard, little-varying style to their images. Conceptual searches against databases are inherently difficult and the fact that your requests submitted through Photographers Direct will be dealt with by the photographers themselves means that they can come up with fresh and original interpretations and ideas. | VICTOR ENGLEBERT'S documentary people photographs cover over 35 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia and the daily lives and customs of 30 indigenous people and their varied environments, from desert to rain forest. Englebert's stories have appeared nine times in National Geographic and he has published 17 photo books.
