Description: Khasab is a city in an exclave of Oman bordering the United Arab Emirates. It is the local capital of the Musandam peninsula and has frequently been dubbed the "Norway of Arabia" because of its extensive fjord-like craggy inlets and desolate mountainscapes. It is located about 550 km from Muscat and less than 200 km from Dubai. It has a population of 20,000 residents. It is also a popular weekend destination for people living in the Emirates and for many other tourists for a visit of the Fjords on traditional Dhows and see dolphins.
