Famous for its war time mulberry B harbour built in 1944 for the D Day invasion . In the picture we can see the remains of the artificial harbour built with huge floaded concrete pieces . Mulberry B was the second artificial harbour built by the allies . The first one was built near Omaha Beach but was completely destroyed by a storm . The harbour were called Mulberry because the plants grow so fast .
