The national Park Hohe Tauern is protecting the high mountain environment of the Hohe Tauern mountain range including some neighbouring ranges like parts of the Zillertal Alps . The landforms of high , glaciated mountains with peaks , glaciers and valleys are characteristic for this national park . the park is home to many endangered species , but also a main attraction for tourism in austria .
