Description: The coastline near Loch Ard Gorge , looking towards the sea stacks called 12 Apostles , Great Ocean Road , Australia . The Loch Ard was a three masted clipper wrecked in 1878 at Muttonbird island . Only two people where washed ashore in the Loch Ard gorge and survived . The Great Ocean Road is one of the most famous scenic roads worldwide . It crosses the Port Campbell National Park with the well known rock formation and sea stacks like the " 12 apostles . Thousends of tourists are visiting this attraction , which is next to Ayers Rock one of the natural wonders and icons of Australia . The whole coast is called Shipwreck coast due to the many ship disasters , which happened during the last centuries . Australia , Victoria , Port Campbell National Park December 2011
