Aggtelek National Park is protecting the UNESCO world heritage of the caves of the Aggtelek and slovak karst . The northern hungarian mountains are part of the western carpathian moutains . It is a hilly forested landscape intersected by deep and steep valleys . The geomorphological features are dominated by the typical karst landforms , especially sinkholes .
