Description: Egyptian vulture ( Neophron percnopterus ) . This vulture is native to the Mediterranean , Turkey , parts of Africa and parts of India . At less than 60 centimetres in length it is small , but is well known due to its habit of using stones as tools to break open ostrich eggs . Its main food supply however is waste and refuse , which it often finds around human habitation . Photographed in Israel in September
