Description: Burnet Companion , Euclidia glyphica . Moth has its name for being found frequently with burnets . Larvae feed on viola and trifolium . The moth is a day flier . It has marbled brown upperwings with distinctive golden underwing marking . It is often found in grassy wsteland or in brambles , in same habitat as the burnets : marshland or wasteland . It is about the size of Large Skipper and can be mistaken for a skipper . Noctuids have echolocation cells in ears which enable them to evade bats . This mkes them rather dodgy fliers . Larvae of noctuids re considered to be agricultural epsts s they devour plants of brassica family .
