Description: Part of a very impressive painted glass mural that was on board the City of Detroit III a steamer that transported passengers between Detroit , Cleveland and Buffalo around 1910 . This is a detail from a five panel stained glass window that was formerly in the Gothic Room of the Great Lakes side wheeler " City of Detroit III . " Native Americans watch as Robert Cavelier Sieur de la Salle lands at the shore of what would become Detroit . After the ship was dismantled , the Gothic Room was obtained by the Dossin Museum and reassembled and restored .
