I am a British writer/photographer who lived in Africa and the Americas for long periods before moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I have been based since the late 1980s. In the 1990s I wrote several photography articles which appeared in Photo Asia (now defunct) on various aspects of photography, including abstracts, superimposed images and the art of seeing unusual compositions.
My images have appeared in several guidebooks published by companies like National Geographic, Frommer's and Rough Guides, as well as in international magazines such as Hemispheres (United Airlines inflight) and Silver Kris (Singapore International Airlines inflight). My feature articles are often presented in photo essay format, usually on nature topics such as rice and water. I am available for commissions.
