I started as an amateur photographer in the mid 70's whilst working as an Environmental Health Officer. Due to illness, I had to retire from that career, however by the late 90's I was having material published in magazines.
I was then volunteering in the press office of Keep Britain Tidy, which I continued to do for some five years, my material being used locally, nationally and internationally.
Alongside that, I achieved a National Diploma in Photography at my local college. A short work experience stint at The Guardian picture desk and three weeks work as picture editor for the premier Local Government magazine then ensued.
I have been a pro photographer since September 2004.
From my work first been seen in print, I average over 2 photos a week being published.
