Anton Hazewinkel Photography

Anton Hazewinkel lives in Nanjing, China and works on documentary projects and corporate assignments.

He studied photography and video in the eighties (BFA) and participated as an artist in several solo and group exhibitions of video and digital art in Amsterdam, London, Paris, Gent and Tokyo.

Then he started a career as a programmer, manager and director for several international airlines and call centers. In 2005 he moved to Beijing where he started a call center to support foreign project staff, journalists and sponsors of the Beijing Olympics.

A few years ago Anton returned to his roots in multimedia and is now a full-time photographer. Next to assignments, he works on his own social documentary project “Chinesense”, documenting the daily life of ordinary Chinese citizens.
